Coenzyme Q10 is important for energy production in muscles. In cases of myalgia and myopathy from statins there is a deficiency of endogenous production of this enzyme due to mitochondrial dysfunction.
Vitamin D supports muscle function. Studies show that statin-induced myalgia is associated with low levels of this vitamin, and its administration seems to compensate for the problem.
Turmeric, thanks to its high content of Curcumin, exhibits, among other things, intense anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, while at the same time helping to nourish muscle tissue.
