The eye is a complicated organ that must gather, control, focus, and react to light to produce vision. At the back of the eye there is a very thin layer of photosensitive nerve cells and fibers called the retina. The light enters the eye, falls on the retina and becomes an electrical stimulus that our brain perceives as "image". Close to the center of the retina there is a small area of pea size, called macula. The macula is responsible for the perception of detail in the central part of the image that the brain receives. To work properly it needs enough light, so it works best during the day. The rest of the retina is responsible for peripheral vision. It is particularly sensitive to low light and gives us the ability to see and during the night.
The formula is supplemented with lutein, Trans and mid-zeaxanthin, components that are involved in the health of the macula of the eyes protecting the eyes from the sun and ultraviolet radiation. The formula additionally contains the C3G component of a flavonoid that activates the action of rhodopsin that helps the eyes adapt to night light.
One capsule a day.
