Anything that could be harmful has been removed from Enzycal's recommendation. Instead, it supports the protective function of saliva and does not contain corrosive substances. The aggressive foaming agent, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) found in most toothpastes, has been replaced by a neutral one.

Essential oils - such as menthol - have been reduced to a minimum and completely removed in Enzycal Zero. Even the RDA abrasion rate is low.
