Indications: upper respiratory infections : pharyngitis , tracheifaryngitides , ear infections , sinusitis , tonsillitis , nasal catarrh , colds - seasonal viral infections , allergic reactions , skin and soft tissue infections: purulent acne, infectious dermatitis , skin ulcers , bacterial infections, urinary tract infections oral cavity , vaginal infections . Actions: Strengthens the immune system and protects the balance . The action is manifested through the following mechanisms : Enhances phagocytosis of polymorphonuclear cells. Promotes synthesis aminoglovoulinis . Exhibits antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action in upper respiratory tract infections including pharyngitis , tonsillitis , otitis , sinusitis , stomatitis . It helps to treat skin diseases such as purulent acne , dermatitis , difficulty in healing ulcers . Exhibits strong antioxidant protection. The Extrammune may be used as monotherapy or as adjunctive therapy with antibiotics ( which enhances the action ) when the infection warrants it .
Adults: The usual dosage is one tablet 2 times a day. In chronic or persistent infections, the dosage is adjusted to 1 tablet 3 times daily. For prophylaxis of influenza take one tablet daily for one to two weeks. The intake of Extrammune be continued for one week after resolution of symptoms.
